Job description

Who are we?

We are a motivated bunch disrupting the banking and bookkeeping industry by creating the first two-in-one banking and accounting platform for small businesses. PROFIT provides small businesses free bank accounts with accounting software that does their bookkeeping for FREE.

We are a fast-growing startup looking for an innovative accountant with leadership skills whose work will impact the company greatly.

Qualifications

  • BSc degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 1-3 yrs of accounting experience with small/medium-size businesses.

  • Has worked with small/medium size businesses from different industries.

  • Entrepreneur mindset.

  • Highly technical.

  • Experience setting up and managing accounting software (XERO, Quickbooks, Freshbooks, Wave, etc.) for different types of small/medium-size businesses.

  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management experience with small/medium businesses.

  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting.

  • Proven work experience as a Certified Public Accountant or Senior Accountant

  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information

  • CPA certification preferred

 

About the Role:

  • Be the leader of our accounting product, and voice of the customer within our product development team, so the right accounting features get built.

  • Manage and reconcile our client's financial accounts daily while getting an understanding of their needs and accounting struggles.

  • Spend time speaking with business owners to develop a deep understanding of the challenges of small businesses, and translate their needs into a compelling product vision for our leadership and development team.

  • Likes working in fast pace environment.
